Chromium oxide is a characteristic green inorganic pigment.
The Cr 2 O 3 form is the only stable form of chromium, derived from natural chromium oxide ores, or from potassium dichromate ores. It always has a characteristic green (chromium blue) color, regardless of environmental conditions.
From chromium oxide, some other color can be made by mixing it with other mixed ingredients like:
Combine with CaO to turn green to green.
Combines with cobalt oxide (II) to create peacock feathers blue.
Combination with zinc tends to produce a brown / orange zinc chromate
Combined with tin produces a chromium-tin pink color
